A friend of mine just had a birthday (okay, so it was a few weeks ago and I'm running terribly behind!) and I wanted to make a 6 X 6 scrapbook for her to use to record some of her favorite pictures of either herself or one of her children. I copied the idea from a beautiful book given to me by a very famous and generous stamper, Cherri Gustafson, at convention last summer. I used one of our Simply Scrappin' Kits from the catalog. I love how the cardstock stickers, the coordinating double sided paper, and the textured cardstock all help me make a fun project with no stress over what goes together with what. Here is a picture of a card I made to say a big "Thanks" for a friend of mine. I usually make really fast cards, but this time I needed to make one that said, "Thanks. Really. Lots." I got the idea from a great blog from a Stampin' Up! demonstrator named Lisa Freeman at stampingwithlisa.com. It uses the scallop envelope die from the Stampin' Up! catalog and our great "Bella" Designer Paper. If you notice, the paper on this card matched my sofa in the background. Hmmmmmmm.
