Another Scrap Card

Sorry for the blurry post! My Son still had my camera so here is another scrap card from long ago. I hope you are not offended and think this card is not blog worthy, but remember, this is one I made utilizing only scraps I had on my desk, and for the most part, using the scraps in their already cut dimensions. I just slipped the background through the big shot texture die and bordered the ends with our great border punches on page 187 of the catalog. I wasn't worried if it wasn't perfect--and it wasn't. I was just thinking of sending my daughter a card and knowing I had about 5 minutes to make one. If you have a card making desk and it isn't clean, clean it up by seeing what you can make with your leftovers. Or throw them away. Or store them in a meticulously organized manner and email me and tell me how you do it.

I have some great things to show you that I've been making. Unfortunately, my son usually has my camera as he is taking photography this trimester. I like the rock shot. What do you think? So I am going to repost a scrap card that I made for my daughter Christina who is serving a mission in Hong Kong. A scrap card is a card that I make from whatever scraps happen to still be on my desk at the time I make it. I really like the embossed polka dots made with the big shot. I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!

I Missed Scrapfest but I Climbed Table Rock!

No, there are no stamps in this picture. But there is my sweetie of 24 years with me on top of table rock. When my husband wanted to know what I would like to do for our anniversary, I told him to take a hike. He liked that idea. So we climbed 4000 feet in 6 miles and then 4000 feet back down for another 6 which was quite a little hike in my opinion. And that is why I missed the Scrapfest. The next opportunity to do some serious stamping will be October 10th at our first stamp club meeting!

Spooky Candy

I love pumpkins and the fall and I love Halloween. And I love M & M's. So Here are some fun cards. I used our great designer paper in perfect plum as a background. Who would have thought that Perfect Plum was perfect for Halloween! And the candy holders are from the new Mini Catalog from Stampin'Up!

Happy Birthday

I love SU's Birthday stamps! And I love Pink and Brown because they make me think of really great chocolate. I don't know why. Many unexplainable combinations make me think of chocolate. Which is nice.

Okay, She has a new business where she uses lots of paper and you can visit her at positivelyperfectparty.blogspot.com. Here is her pumpkin card.

Soft Suede and New Embossing Folder!

Who new the soft Suede from the new In Color Line would make such a pretty card--and how about the new embossing folder!

New Christmas Cards From Holiday Mini

I spent about 2 hours one night playing with the amazing paper, stamps, embossing folder, and punch that I got from the new Holiday Mini Catalog. It took me two hours to come up with a card I did not hate. The above card with stars is said card. I also made a few more the next day. Blogger will only let me show you one more. Not nice, Mr Blogger. Are they that ugly? Really?

I hope everyone had fun last night at the Hostess Appreciation Dinner. I wish I had taken a picture of the chocolate raspberry cake but it was too good and disappeared. Here is a picture of the simple project. We used the razzleberry lemonade paper and new gorgeous polka dotted ribbon in the new IN COLORS. Make a note that you need all of them.

Stampin' Up! is on Youtube.

Check out the great videos on the Stampin' Up Youtube. I hope you get some great ideas! Here is the link.

Fun with Glitter and Sticky Paper.

Here is the last project from our stamp club. I never liked usng glitter as a child--all that messy elmers glue and the glitter that just never went away. Stampin' Up! has made me love using glitter with their fun Sticky sheets (114301). You just peal the uber sticky paper and pour on some glitter (I used the Chunky Glitter 108797) and you have a simple way to add some shine to a project. Here is a simple purse sack using the top not die for the Sizzix, our Sweet Always Designer Paper, and the Sticky Cut Flowers. I made a little mini book with a big flower. Another Project from the June Stamp Club

The idea of using our scallop cirle Sissix die (113468) seems to be everywhere. I tweeked it to use as a Father's Day Goodie. I know there are endless possibilities. Send me yours! All images copyright Stampin' Up! 2009

Two of the Four Projects We Made at the June Stamp Club

The bottom card is made with our versatile "Thoughts and Prayers" stamp set (Thoughts & Prayers 113252 $25.95). The basic idea I found on the internet, but I could not find the address--let me know if it is yours and I will give you credit! The rose card is made with a simple but stunning technique using the brayer. Thank you Pattystamps.com for this fun idea. I will post the other two projects soon! And the Winner Is...

We had a card competition at our last stamp club, and here is the winning card! Good job Tiffany! I am so glad I get to stamp with such talented people. She used our beautiful Rockabilly Specialty paper which is a double sided designer paper that is a textured cardstock instead of the usually, lighter weight designer paper.

I will post the other entries, along with the secrets to how they made them, in a later post. All images copyright Stampin' Up! 2009

Stamp Club Card Exchange

Last Saturday was our card exchange and I loved all the cards I received. The bright brown and pink and orange card is from Tiffany. She has lots of creative stuff on her blog http://tiffcreativeoutlet.blogspot.com/. Dacia Made the elegant black and white cards with the flowers. I made the star centerpieces. You can find the template at www.splitcoaststampers in the resources section. Tammy made the beautiful butterflies, Lynn made the cute brown/pink cards, and Linda made the cheerful Bee cards. I am glad I know such creative people. All images copyright Stampin' Up! 2009
